Tornado Rebuild in Joplin with Extreme Makeover – The Cogdill Family
Crystal Cogdill is passionate about helping displaced families find homes, which makes her ideally suited for her job at the Joplin Housing Authority. Ironically, after the tornado on May 22, Crystal and her youngest son found themselves homeless and grieving the loss of Zach – 9-year-old son and brother who perished that day.
This progressive mom prefers to keep things casual and fun. She likes black and earth tones, but doesn’t have a lot of time to commit to the upkeep of her home exterior. All these factors came into play with the design of “The Modern.” Sided with low maintenance board & batten siding in a dark, Evening Shadow color, along with black, energy-efficient casement windows and bright, contemporary accents, the innovative modular home is well-suited for this mother-son team as they continue the process of re-building their lives.
Welcome home, Cogdill’s. We wish you a bright future.
