Installing your Ply Gem louvered and raised shutters is a fast and easy process.
You’ll need to grab a few materials first:
- Drill
- Level
- Color matched screws or plugs (included with your shutters)
After collecting your materials, you’re just a few steps away from having beautiful shutters as an accent on your home.
- First, you’ll align the shutter with your window. Use a level to make sure the shutter is perfectly in line.
- Position screws six inches from the top and bottom of the shutter. Shutters less than 55 inches long only need four screws. If the shutter is longer, then they will need two additional screws that will go in the middle of the shutter.
- After you align your shutter with the window, drill a small pilot hole.
- Then use a Phillips head bit to screw the screws until the head is flush against the shutter. Be sure to not over-tighten the screw.
